Ecological Paradise with DesignRail® from Welsh Construction, Inc.

This remodel project included a whole house interior and exterior transformation including additions to three sides. The owner’s home started as a simple, dimly lit gable house and underutilized space. The property has an extensive variety of trees, shrubs and perennials that have been cultivated by the owners who ran a nursery on the grounds, a labor of love they had crafted over many years together. This was the inspiration for doing a whole house renovation instead of looking for a new property. We decided on a new cable railing system over other options, to minimize obstructing the view. Feeney DesignRail® was customized to mimic the rhythm of the windows and doors. Two sizes of intermediate posts were used as an artistic element to add to the overall visual interest of the outdoor space. A custom sassafras wood rail cap gives additional weight and warmth to the lines of the railing system with an integrated ADA metal handrail for safety. The overall effect was to create a seamless transition and view from inside to outside.
